Get Rid of Chest Acne

Knowing what causes and triggers chest acne will help you in your quest to prevent and get rid of chest acne. While the root cause is unknown, hormonal imbalances and changes are what cause acne breakouts. Hormones can be affected by diet, stress, age and other factors. However, there is no reason you should have to suffer with acne anywhere on your body, much less your chest.

When it comes to chest acne there are some triggers you need to avoid in order to at least prevent outbreaks.

Tight fitting clothes – Avoid wearing very tight clothing as this affects the air flow to your skin and creates more oil which presents as acne on your chest.

Synthetic fabrics – Wearing clothing with unnatural fibers is one of the main triggers of chest pimples because they make you sweat and don’t allow your skin to breathe. Instead, try wearing cotton, bamboo and hemp clothing to avoid outbreaks.

Perspiration – Sweat is probably the biggest trigger of all when it comes to acne. Gentle cleansing after you have been sweating can help you prevent chest outbreaks. Keeping your chest area clean and dry is the best way to prevent and get rid of chest acne.

Scratching and picking – Picking at and scratching pimples just make them worse as well as make a mess on your clothes. Instead, leave them alone keep the area clean using a good anti-acne body cleanser.

Rough shower scrubbing  - There is nothing wrong with using a loofah sponge to clean your chest and body. However, if you scrub too hard you will only be irritating the affected areas further and you want to prevent that from happening. Simply be more gentle about how you use any exfoliating shower cleaning sponge.

These are all great and easy ways to prevent and get rid of chest acne. However, if you still have some problems with it, you can always find acne products online to cleanse and treat chest/body acne. Good products will contain ingredients like salicylic acid, cucumber or other drying agents to help get rid of it. You can also find topical treatments to help get rid of it faster.

Another good way to get rid of chest acne is to use a mask specifically designed to unclog your pores and help prevent outbreaks. You should use this cleansing method a couple of times a week.
